I’ve written a number of reviews of products that I have experience with that I feel I can offer a good opinion on, or cool products I’ve used that I don’t see being talked about all that much. Here are my reviews so far:
Services
WPX Hosting
WPX Hosting offers premium hosting for WordPress websites and claims to be better than all existing WP hosting solutions in practically every way. This service was founded by Terry Kyle, also founder of the popular TrafficPlanet.com forum.
I’ve been hosting a couple of websites at WPX for a while now and have certainly noticed improved loading times. The support offered is also very quick. You can read my full WPX Hosting review and I have a cool post with the latest WPX Hosting coupon.
eCommerce Platforms
Two popular shopping cart platforms that I have direct experience with are Shopify and Bigcommerce and many people wish to know how they compare and ultimately which one to go for.
I made a lengthy post about how Shopify basically knocks Bigcommerce out of the park when it comes to choosing a shopping cart platform for your e-commerce store, looking at the bigger picture as opposed to just side-by-side features. See Bigcommerce vs Shopify.
Training Courses
Drop Ship Lifestyle
Drop Ship Lifestyle, also known as the “Anton Method”, is an online training course designed to teach you how to build an online store from scratch, using drop shipping as the fulfilment process. Founded by e-commerce expert Anton Kraly, the course offers step-by-step training videos, one-on-one support, a community forum and supplemental advanced training courses on web design, PPC advertising and more.
What’s more, this course also includes an invite to an annual “Drop Shipping Lifestyle Retreat”, a typically 4 day, live conference with guest speakers, one-on-one help, co-working and plenty of non-working activities! Read my full DSL review.
Store Coach
Store Coach is another e-commerce training course, primarily focused around drop shipping, however a lot of the advice can be applied to e-commerce in general i.e. if you’re buying products in bulk or have your own products manufactured. The course was created by lead “Coach” Dave Hermansen along with his brothers Mike and Kevin. These guys have a lot of experience building, running and even selling online stores and have a wealth of information to share.
The course is accessed online via text tutorials and videos, with much of the content actually being available for free. For advance information, resources and software, however, there is a paid upgrade available. Read my Store Coach review.
Software / Plugins
Coupon Reveal
Coupon Reveal is a cool WordPress plugin for displaying coupon codes behind a “click to reveal” button on your affiliate websites. I came across this plugin a while back and have used it with success, so figured I would write a review on it. I feel I could definitely offer some insights about it as well as suggest some customizations you can make to the code to enhance it.
There are a lot of coupon plugins for WordPress but few that offer the “click to reveal” feature and even less that offer this particular feature so well. Read more about this coupon plugin.
IMeye Keyword Tool
IMeye is a unique keyword research tool that I don’t see being talked about that much. It’s different to other keyword software in that you don’t input a keyword to analyse; rather it finds keywords for you that meet your specified criteria. It’s a great way to find keywords for SEO and PPC projects and for discovering niches in general.
Often finding a niche to sell is in the hardest part, yet it’s arguably the most important. And even when you do think of a niche, many times the keywords don’t make it a viable opportunity if your goal is to rank in the search engines. This tool is a unique way of finding opportunities that actually meet your criteria, whatever that is. Read my IMeye review here.
