I want to tell you about a keyword tool that I just don’t see being talked about much.
You always hear about popular keyword research tools and software like Wordstream, Market Samurai, SEMrush and, of course, Google’s Keyword Planner, but they all have one problem:
In order to use these tools, you need to already have a “seed” keyword in mind.
You need to know a keyword or niche upfront, before using the tool.
This is all fine and great if you do indeed have a keyword in mind that you want to analyse and find related keywords to, but what if you don’t?
What if you don’t yet have a niche and that’s exactly what you’re trying to find? It’s the hardest part, right?
That’s where this tool comes in: IMeye.
The IMeye keyword tool is really cool and actually quite revolutionary because it takes the traditional idea of keyword research and turns it on its head.
It works like this:
Instead of you having to come up with a keyword or niche (the hardest part!), with IMeye you input a set of criteria that you want your keywords to meet, for example: at least 2000 searches per month, already has e-commerce sites in the top 10, 3 words in the keyword, low number of competing pages etc. and IMeye will spit out a load of keywords that meet this criteria!
If you’ve struggled to come up with a good niche and keywords to build an online store around, or indeed any type of website, then you can see just how valuable this tool is.
The tagline for this tool is: “You Don’t Find The Keywords – The Keywords Find YOU!” It’s cheesy but so true. There’s some good videos on the site that show you how the tool works.
Interesting sidenote: IMeye was actually created by the guys that used to be partners with the Hermansen brothers, the creators of the Store Coach e-commerce training. They used to sell a drop shipping course together but each went their separate ways. The Hermansen’s started Store Coach and the other partners continued with separate training products and software like this.
IM Eye is really cool and is a great way to discover niches and keywords that you simply would not think of by yourself. It also saves a huge amount of time because it gives you keywords that meet your criteria right away, rather than you having to discover keywords yourself then analyse them to see if they’re any good. I’ve wasted huge amounts of time in the past trying to discover niches and analyse the keywords, only to find out they’re not good opportunities anyway i.e. the search volume is way too low or whatever.
Discovering keywords like this is the main purpose of the tool and what I have used it for. In fact, it’s how I found the keywords/niche for my seasonal business.
My IMeye Review
As you can already see, I do like this tool, however, you need the right expectations upfront.
I read another IMeye review where the reviewer was criticising the tool because it wasn’t recognising keywords that he was manually inputting and wanting to analyze. The problem is that he wasn’t using IM Eye the way it’s intended.
There’s plenty of other keyword tools out there that can show you data about any keyword you manually input, but you have to know the keyword upfront. IMeye.org works backwards and helps you actually discover golden keyword opportunities in the first place. If you want to then analyse these keywords further, by all means put them into a different tool, but there’s no other tool out there that I’m aware of that can actually FIND you good keywords according to your criteria, like IMeye does.
The Pros:
- IMeye is a great way to discover new keywords that meet your criteria. For this, it simply works and I don’t know of any other tool that can do this!
- It’s also great for generally coming up with niche ideas. This is arguably the hardest – yet most important – part about starting a new website. IMeye will show you things that people are searching for that you never even knew existed!
- Easy to use. The software is pretty straight forward to use and there’s tutorial videos to get you up to speed.
The Cons:
- The main downside to IMeye is the price. At $147 a month, it’s pretty damn expensive BUT they do have a Free trial. You can also get value from the tool right away so you can stay subscribed only as long as you need. Find and pursue just one opportunity with this tool, and you’ll easily make your money back.
Give it a Try
Overall, I think IMeye is a really cool tool to potentially add to your arsenal, as needed.
It is particular useful for discovering golden opportunities in the form of good keywords and general niche ideas. If you’re struggling to find a good market to enter, consider using this software. Not many people know about it.
