I think terry & his team has done an awesome job by relaunching their brand as WPX Hosting. They have really earned some good reviews in short period of time and I can say that because few of the top bloggers I know has shifted their site to WPX Hosting and shared some good reviews.

I use this hosting since 2 years ago. I’m very happy.

Before this I used WP engine, and then migrated to WPX Hosting. The speed improvement was noticeable.

Sometimes I look for another hosting providers, but not find some better than WPX.

For my small website without millions of visitors, it’s a beautiful hosting provider.

This seems to be a good honest review and confirmed a few things for me. I am switching to them in 2 days time upon the recommendation of my mentor and to be perfectly honest, I don’t know how I have never heard of WPX before. I THINK I have a great site so far but speed is an issue. In PSI’s I am only getting around 59-71 for a lot of my posts on mobile and desktop so I hope this helps!

Hi George, I’d say it depends on how fast you think your blog will grow. Cheaper hosting out there is usually more than adequate for blogs just starting out with low traffic. More premium WordPress hosting such as WPX becomes more necessary when your site is larger with significant traffic.

That said, I think WPX Hosting is still relatively inexpensive and offers excellent value for money so it wouldn’t be a bad idea to start a site off on premium hosting from the outset. You can host up to 5 sites on their basic plan. It would also allow you to take advantage of the free SSL certificate offer and you’ll be well prepared for when your traffic site grows.

So to answer your question: I think it’s worth it but it’s not necessary.

If that’s your experience with Bluehost then WPX is probably better. My main site has gone down a few times since being hosted with them but it’s not a monthly occurrence, and usually for less than a minute before it’s back up again.

You mentioned “Up Time: I have experienced an insignificant amount of down time.”
Could you tell me how bad is this? I am on Bluehost and they have down time a lot per month. But mostly for a few minutes.
Is it worse than Bluehost?
